The sea food was great and fresh and the wine pairing on the menu was great but our salads where way over dressed. I would go back.

Still amazing. Everything perfectly prepared and so delish! Jody is a knowledgable and attentive server. Everyone makes us feel welcome. Love this place! This is really the only restaurant in the Citrus Springs area that I have been really impressed with - can't go wrong with any of the fish and seafood dishes. I made a mental note to try the shrimp and grits and the ahi turn next time - they looked amazing!

Excellent from top to bottom! Based on yelp we made a reservation as we headed out of Tallahassee. Jackie the hostess was an absolute joy and was very accommodating. We ordered several appetizers including escargot, fried green tomatoes, steak bites and she crab soup. All were exceptionally tasty. We ordered a nice Pinot noir and had the ahi tuna and shrimp and grits for entrees. Good sized portions, great flavors and tasty sides. The creme brulee could have been a bit warmer but only a minor point. We hope to make this a normal stop whenever we head south.

All together an awesome and unique dining experience, the owner is fantastic, my server was down to earth and friendly (lovely lady) and the food more than expected. Steak and garlic mashed potatoes, Rack of lamb with risotto, house salads, steamed garlic mussels, half bottle of merlot and creme brûlée ...all for $94.00 ( excellent price )

This seems to be Crystal River's "upscale" dining option. Unfortunately this was our least favorite meal of our trip to Crystal River. The ambience and service were both stellar but we weren't over the moon about the food. I had the she crab soup which was just okay. It had a strong wine flavor and no chunks of crab, just strands throughout. Would have been better with some oyster crackers but it was not served with any. For dinner I had the ahi tuna appetizer. The quality of tuna was not great and the wontons were lacking flavor. The Asian slaw was drowning in sesame oil. My bf had the ribeye and said it had a bitter taste from some sort of mustard marinade-glaze that the waitress assured us could not be detected once cooked. They did have an impressive wine list and very reasonable prices for wine by the glass.

My S.O. and I had the pleasure of eating at the Vintage on 5th last weekend. We were in town just for a few days, so we had to call last minute for reservations. They were able to fit us in, but the place was packed! Always a good sign. Our waiter (Michael, I think) was great. He was spot on with his wine recommendations. Since we were new to the restaurant, he gave us a run down of the menu and suggested his favorites. We started with the fish dip, which was surprisingly delicious. It featured a white fish, seasoning, and capers. The capers were the best part. They provided just the right amount of salt and bitter. It was paired nicely with some toast points. They also served us some fresh ciabatta with olive oil and herbs. I ordered the special, which was blackened mahi mahi with mashed potatoes, grilled veggies, and the chef's special salad. My S.O. got the grouper francese with risotto. We both highly enjoyed our meals. The portions were great for the price. I ordered a piece of key lime pie for dessert. It had fantastic lime flavor, but was a tiny bit too sweet for my liking. Cute renovated space -- I loved the feel of the restaurant.

We went to Vintage on 5th on a Saturday evening at 7:30 while visiting family. The menu looked wonderful, however we were disappointed that 4 items on the menu were sold out for the night! They were out of the Grouper, Seafood sauté, the special Swordfish, and the Salmon! Very disappointing! The food was fresh but not worth the price.

I was on vacation here with my Dad last week and we sat and the bar and a delicious dinner. The place was recommended by one of the bartenders at The plantation where we were staying . I had the jerk seasoned grouper off the regular menu and a cup of the "She-crab" soup to start. Unbelievably delicious! What made the place stand out to me was the wine list, I live in Boston and wasn't expecting to find such an extensive list in this corner of Florida! Alot of good international pairing options there if you are having seafood or otherwise. I forget the bartenders name (said she was also a teacher) but she was lovely, had a great knowledge of the wine and menu, and made out experience a great one. I would definitely recommend this gem to anyone visiting the area!

Unfortunately, Vintage on 5th (Vo5) lost some stars last night. We could I only get reservations for 5:00 or 7:30 and I chose 5:00. We were seated one the doors opened promptly at 5. My requested waiter also had another larger table to service. Had bragged about this place to friends that know good food and service. I ordered the pan fried grouper (beautiful piece if fish) with Gouda grits. Hubby ordered shrimp and grits and escargot, friends had pan fried grouper, French fries with truffle oil, and a flavored mashed potato. My Gouda grits were cold and the small side of carrots and beans were cold with the beans overcooked, the carrots undercooked - and cold. I flagged our waiter down after lumping the grits on my bread plate and asked him to warm them. My friend asked him to bring more potatoes since his was cold. Those potatoes never arrived. The chocolate mousse was frozen to the point that we had to question if it were and ice cream sundae. The excuse was they had a new refrigeration system and it was too cold. So, after going here for many years, I think it will be a long, long time before I go again. If they are in business-I'll go in about a year and a half. I will say the grouper was outstanding but I did have to ask for more sauce. Our requested waiter was efficient, knew the menu and wines, but slipped a couple times. He works his booty off though but having a table of 8 seated at the same time as a table of 4 makes timing difficult.

Very nice place to have dinner. Please be prepared to be in a more elaborated surrounding than usual. Price per person is more 50US$ on a full menu rather less. Service ist very nice, the chef is doing his job quite well. Kids menu is nice and well done. No beer.

Best food in Crystal River. Had the Tuna. Cooked perfect, love the wasabi cream sauce. Bisque is awesome. We comeback as often as we can. BTW per a previous review, they have upgraded their wine selection. I am happy!

There are always different option's ,after reading all the great review's I decided to take my wife there for her Birthday. I made reservations two weeks in advance asking for a table for two, received my call back to confirm the reservation and told the person that is was a Birthday Dinner. Called the day before to reconfirm and again explained it was a Birthday Dinner. Arriving we were seated, me in the doorway/entrance to the dinning room with a table by the window that remained open for 45 minutes. Michael our waiter came after about 10 minutes and took our wine order reappeared with wine opened poured and again reappeared to ask about appetizers, salad and dinner choices . Dinner was brought to the table and that was the last we saw of Michael, our dinners both were cooked wrong, hers Angus Tenderloin ( don't assume Filet) over cooked, mine Ribeye was charred on one side, never the less Michael I assume was overly busy never came back to asked about our dinners. After waiting for a period of time and no sever I turned to the hostess station which was a close to my back and asked for a check, first the hostess asked if very thing was ok,I explained to her how disappointed I was in the whole dinning experience. She arranged for Michael to appear with the check which I paid and left a 23% Tip. While trying to leave again the hostess asked how my experience was and I had to say honestly Terrible ,Now the owner comes out and starts to raise his voice telling me not to disrespect his hostess and asked what my "problem was" . trying to explain to him and answer his question again he starts raising his voice reaching into his pocket taking out money/cash saying that's all I wanted. He followed my wife and I outside and to my car and stood by my car again telling me I only came there for a FREE MEAL and to never return again, I had to reminded him that I already had paid the check had left a tip far exceeding the service we received. And by the way no one acknowledged my Wife's Birthday !!!

The best dinner I've had all year. Definitely make a reservation as you will not get a table without one. We went on a Friday and couldnt get a table but we were able to eat at the bar. Everything was delicious even the free bread and olive oil they give you is great. We got the fried green tomatoes to start, which came with bacon and goat cheese, they were very good but a tad too greasy. I ordered the shrimp and grits. It was one of the greatest things I have ever put in my mouth hole, delicious! My husband got the sea bass and risotto and really enjoyed his meal. Added note the guy next to us ordered the pork chop and it looked amazing. Also, the price was very fair for the quality of food.

The food was average at its best. The she-crab soup was minus the signature sherry and was served medium warm The shrimp and grits were watery and topped with uncooked bacon and weak sautéed onions. The shrimp were somewhat overcooked and flavorless seemed frozen. The short rib was reminiscent of pot roast but needed a sharp knife for cutting- very mediocre. A saving grace for the restaurant was the very knowledgeable bartender about her wine list.

This place deserves the five star rating I'm giving it. The wine selection is impressive, the appetizers delicious and the entrees deliciously well done. The caliber of the food is what one would expect in medium or large city (we're from San Francisco Bay Area). Try their signature dish, the shrimp and grits; it's wonderful. The wait staff was attentive, nice and friendly. We met the owners and their passion for food and wine comes through their restaurant.

We were in Crystal River for the weekend and this was the BEST thing about it! We had an awesome meal, I had shrimp & clam linguini and my husband had the NY strip. Both meals were so yummy!! The atmosphere is quaint and the service was great. Would definatley recommend and if we ever happen to vist the area would make this our first choice to have a romantic dinner.

It was my husbands 50th birthday so I wanted to take him somewhere special. He order the special Chilean Sea Bass. It was raw and had an off smell. The manager agreed that something was not right with the fish and offered him another bass and he said NO! A good restaurant would give him his meal for free but instead they offered us a $4.99 dessert, REALLY? Poor management

I can't say enough about Vintage on 5th - We actually just had our rehearsal dinner here (42 people). They were BEYOND accommodating. We were seated on the gorgeous porch and in the courtyard - beautiful views and a lovely breeze from the fans on the porch. The service is amazing at VO5 - everyone from the hostess to the waiters/ waitresses to the owner (Rodney) are polite, professional and quick to assist. Nothing was too big or small of a request! The food ... OMG. The food. Our set menu was fried green tomatoes, then choice of entree from grilled shrimp salad, Shrimp and Grits, Mac n cheese or the pork chop. EVERYONE raved about each dish. My absolute hands down fav is the shrimp and grits though ;) The wine and beer they offer are awesome too... We had a set menu with just the house wines, but they were delic! Vintage even worked with me to organize a small dessert (chocolate covered strawberries), which isn't on the menu. It just shows the level of service for their clientele. I would recommend this establishment to anyone - the food is amazing, the atmosphere is perfect, the staff is superb. It's a must go if you're in the area! And worth the trip if you're not.

We read about Vintage online and decided to check it out. The excellent reviews were correct, it really was incredible from food to service. The unique atmosphere and attentive service surpassed our expectations. Try the shrimp & grits or the veal chop, both were amazingly delicious! There were so many wines to choose from and very reasonably priced. These people really know what they're doing!!

We have eaten here two times and both times have been excellent. A very busy night as the stone crab festival was going on next door but they treated us with utmost attention. I had read reviews about their shrimp and grits so I decided to try it. Absolutely delicious even though not a huge grits fan. All in the party of four thoroughly enjoyed their selections. We travel 45 min. to get there but it is worth it. Priced right for the quality of the food.

I came here when I was down in Florida visiting my grandparents. This is one of their few favorite restaurants, so we went (with my mom). We made reservations, which was smart since the place seems to have pretty limited seating. If I was reviewing the place by local standards, I may give it a 5 star rating, but if I were reviewing based on national standards (or at least mine) I'd give it 3 stars. Thus, I came to an average of 4 stars. We started out with some appetizers. The grandparents went with the fried green tomatoes, which they love. I don't particularly like them, so I didn't bother trying them, but the grandparents said they always get them and they're always delicious. Mom and I split an appetizer with steak. I can't remember what it was called, but it was pretty tasty. Though for the price of the appetizer, I was a little disappointed in portion. I'm not a big fish person, which automatically ruled out most of the menu for me. Add to that I'm not a gamey meat or fatty meat person, and my options were limited. Thus, I ended up joining my grandmother and mother in ordering the porcini and truffle ravioli. It was okay. I found the flavor to be a bit lacking at times and the butter sauce to be way too runny for me. It felt more like I had raviolis floating in a butter soup. I think some creaminess to the sauce would have helped. The raviolis were not over filled and after the meal, I was still a little hungry. I would have done better adding chicken or something, but when I'm already paying nearly $20 for a pasta dish, I find the extra charge of a few bucks for meat to be a bit much. My grandfather got some form of fish dish and he enjoyed it, though I did not sample it. My mom also got a side of their risotto and loved it when she had eaten here previously. This time it was vegetable risotto and the texture was just a bit off on it. I think if they had a different type of risotto it would have been good and I would definitely give it a try if you come here. Lastly, which was possibly the best part of the meal, was the dessert. I had a creme brulee and it was wonderful. Definitely something to order. Overall the service was okay. There were a few times where drink glasses sat empty for a few minutes and we had a overly crowded table with dirty plates that weren't bused. I would have liked to seen slightly larger portions or lower prices (maybe by $2-3), but then I'm not sure of the relative pricing in the area. If you're looking for a place to get a nicer meal in the area, give this place a try - but dont' forget to call ahead!

Very disappointed! When I called for a reservation in spite of the restaurant being open, I got a recorded message saying to make a reservation leave a message with the details and a call-back number and they'd get back to me. I did. I heard nothing and, finally drove to the restaurant. They said "Well, we're booked up tonight, so we didn't call you back." This is inexcusable! They said they'd call me back and didn't, leaving us without a reservation anywhere! The food may be good -- I wouldn't know. I do know that they don't take very good care of would-be customers.

didn't come close to living up to the hype: highly recommended by our hotel, ordered one of their signature dishes (per our server), e.g., mac & cheese w/ chicken. It was tasteless...ugh. no flavor at all. We returned it and since we'd already waited quite some time for our entrees we didn't request a replacement - they did remove the cost from the bill. But here's something we took notice of: the owner/chef(?) "worked" the room quite often but never came close to heading our way to see how our meal was - he obviously knew we'd sent back one of our entrees. Would have been classy if he'd came up & at least acknowledged the returned dish. No big deal but something that one might expect.

Vintage on 5th is a very good restaurant, period. The service is excellent as is the atmosphere and food. The old house they renovated for the restaurant makes for a perfect setting for a fine dining experience. If you want a classy place to enjoy an evening drinking good wine and experiencing good food, The Vintage on 5th is by far the best place in Crystal River.

After a long day of traveling, we arrived in Crystal River a little later than planned. We decided to try VO5 to see if they could accommodate us on a Friday night with no reservations. They happily did so with no problems! Yes, people were dressed nicely, but I wouldn't call it fancy. I was in jeans and my Dad was in nice shorts and we didn't feel underdressed at all. We strategy with the truffle fries and fried green tomatoes. The fries were great with tons of truffle flavor. The fried green tomatoes were really yellow tomatoes and unfortunately they weren't that ripe. They didn't have much flavor so the goat cheese and bacon topping was welcomed. For our entrees my mom and I both had the shrimp & grits. The shrimp was cooked perfectly and there were plenty of shrimp in the dish. The spinach, shallots, bacon and mushroom sauce was perfect! Not too salty and the perfect addition to the shrimp. The grits were cooked perfectly but I wish they would have had a *touch* more gouda flavor. My dad had the special duck breast dish that night and absolutely loved it! For dessert we decided to go all out and ordered the carrot cake, key lime pie, and chocolate cake. All were fantastic and the portion sizes were HUGE. We also had great wine by the glass selections that were reasonably priced. Michael was our server and he could not have been more friendly and professional. He offered great suggestions and always seemed to arrive at the right time. Several reviews have mentioned that it takes quite some time for foothold come out. This strikes me as a family restaurant, they want you to enjoy your meals, sip your wine and have a lovely night. This is definitely not a quick eat n' go type of place. It is a great way to enjoy a night! We would definitely be back if in the area and would recommend others to go!

  • Andrew K.

We had Michael as our waiter. His hospitality was by far the best I've seen in Florida. We've been on the road for the past 5 hours and stopped by here after seeing other yelp reviews. It was last minute and they still accommodated us. The food is outstanding. Did I mention the service was fantastic?

What a lovely place. Food and wine were good. Service was spectacular. In fact, I don't remember the last time I had such excellent service. If you're in Crystal River, you must try Vintage on 5th.

This place was awesome, couldn't be happier with my service and food. the wine list was pretty good too. I'm giving 4 stars for the complete experience.

  • Leslie V.

We had a wonderful time and great food at Vintage on 5th, and the only drawback we saw was that we were seated in the building behind the actual restaurant. They call it the Sunday School house, but it actually feels like a garage decorated to be a dining room. Don't get me wrong, we still enjoyed our food and company, but was certainly disappointed in the atmosphere and especially when we walked across the porch diners to leave seeing that they had bread baskets and dipping sauce...guess it was too far to carry that to us in the garage. My advice is to specify that you want to be seated in the main building or on the porch for a beautiful atmosphere too!

The restaurant is so pretty inside. The service was very good. The server was very knowledgeable about the wine and menu items and was very attentive. Shrimp and grits--delicious and the diver scallop special was spicy and very tasty. A lovely evening.

  • Christopher D.

The appetizers were excellent -- better than the main dishes we ordered, imo. What I really liked about the place was that the people were really warm and inviting and the service was excellent. Our server was Joy, and Michael also helped out. They both seemed like genuinely nice people and took great care of us throughout the meal. I'd say the experience was a cut above the service you'd get at a super fancy shmancy restaurant. Good food and wine, and nice atmosphere, but without the pretension.

Forgot to mention the fab Sauvignon Blanc selection as my guests don't care for that varietal and I do but didn't order any, so not ALL sweet or Chardonnay. They also have bubbles. Must reiterate the very fair pricing, especially for a privately owned restaurant. All of our food was excellent.

I have used Yelp for a while and find reviews very helpful while in a new area. My boyfriend and I like to eat at many restaurants and this is the first 5 star I have found. This place totally blew our minds away. We started with escargot and fried green tomato. Both were to die for. We both shared dishes for entree. I had grouper filled with blue crab and he had shrimp with grits. My favorite was the shrimp with grits because it had soul. I felt like I was in heaven if heaven tasted any way. The featured special was amazing as well. It was the Blue crab stuffed grouper with red wine risotto. For dessert we had Key Lime Pie and Carrot Cake. Both were beyond amazing that we could imagine. If I had to pick out of the two the Key Lime Pie would win. It was a mixture between a cheesecake and a Key-lime Pie. I live 2 hours away, but looking forward to the next time I can enjoy this mouthsized masterpiece.

Wow, we called last minute for a family celebration for 6 and they apologized because no tables were available in the main dining room but offered the private wine cellar. It was a great quiet room for my retirement dinner. First, the wine list is outstanding and very reasonably priced...I think the Heinz Cellars is the best value. We had a difficult time deciding which dinner to order so we ordered the Mac & Cheese and the Truffle Pasta as side dishes. My wife and I had the Soft Shelled Crab dinner and it was great. So was the Shrimp and Grits. I like to frequent restaurants where the owner is present and involved and this was an outstanding example. The owner, Rodney, stopped by to make sure our evening was going well and gave us his best wishes. Thanks.

We were in Crystal River for a scalloping tour to celebrate our anniversary and Chose Vintage on 5th after reading several glowing reviews. I'll try not to repeat what every other reviewer has said: The service and food are awesome, hands down. I loved the fact that even though we showed up without a reservation, we were warmly greeted at the door and invited to dine in the bar area. We accepted the offer and enjoyed our evening with Erna, who was tending bar and playing waitress to all the patrons dining at the bar. She was so busy but never skipped a beat. She recommended dishes and wine for us since we were indecisive on what to try and all her recommendations were fabulous. She also told us a little about Vintage on 5th's evolution, that much of the staff is still the original staff, and that the cook is given "artistic license" to create new sauces and dishes. At the end of our meal, she brought our out an Anniversary cupcake... A nice touch after a charming meal! We enjoyed our meal so much, that we went back the next night (with a reservation!) and again had a wonderful experience. We didn't feel Vintage on 5th was overpriced as mentioned in some reviews; actually, it was quite reasonable for the level of hospitality and quality of the dishes. We both said we wished we lived right down the street so we could come back again and again to try the entire menu! Thank you, Erna, for two fabulous meals; and thank you to The entire staff for continuing the excellence which made Vintage on 5th famous!

Very unique and wonderful place in a small town. Food has always been great although the service sometimes gets a little slow. Atmosphere, staff and location are perfect for entertaining with a group or a quiet intimate dinner. Highly recommend trying this place. They really need to work on the service it takes entirely to long to get your food.

Pretty good restaurant. Has been considered fine dining for the area. The best thing not on the menu is the jerk shrimp appetizer. They will make it for you even though thy took it off. Service is pretty good, sometimes it could be hit or miss.

Had an awesome time here last night!! The she crab soup was amazing and everyone loves their entrees. I got the shrimp and grits where the grits are made with smoked Gouda! We will definitely be back to see Cindy because she was great.

This place was delicious! We were under dressed, but the owner greeted us and didn't bat an eye. We didn't have reservations, but got seated quickly. Wine selection is amazing; we got the shrimp and grits and ravioli. Both were great; atmosphere is laid back, while probably more suited for occasions, you could also come right from the manatee tours.

We recently moved to the area and our daughter suggested this restaurant to us. What we experienced was a wonderful restaurant housed inside a lovely old Florida style house! The food was very elegantly prepared...much like we've had on larger city's nicer restaurants...and the atmosphere helped us relax and enjoy talking. We both agree the "Shrimp & Grits" (doesn't sound good....BUT) was one of the best meals we've ever had! The service was great, food was fabulous, and the "feel" was very nice...wanted to stay a long time and chat it was so nice. Oh yeah...the wine selections were extensive and what we had was totally satisfying! Highly recommend this restaurant...even if you have to drive a bit to get here!

Vintage on 5th is a charming restaurant with friendly staff, excellent food; and a reasonably priced, well thought out wine list. Wine Spectator is the gold standard for wine publications, getting an award from them says alot about your wine list. I've had both their steak and fish specials, and have been impressed by both. But, I have to say, the fish specials are a knock out; freshly caught and well prepared.

My husband and I planned to honeymoon in Crystal River because we always wanted to snorkel with manatees. While researching things to do and places to eat in the area I stumbled upon Vintage's website. The menu looked yum-my and was unlike any other restaurant I had found for Crystal River. And so it was settled, we would eat here on our first night. Unfortunately I didn't pay attention to their days of operation and when we got there, sunday, we found out they weren't open sunday OR monday. Luckily for us we soon realized that our next destination, Homosassa, was only 15 mins away and so on our 3rd night we were off to Vintage on 5th. Seriously people, this place is incredible. So incredible we came back again the following night! That's right, 2 nights in a row!! Everything here was perfect. The restaurant's atmosphere is cozy and pretty cute and everyone that works there is really friendly. BIG shout out to our waitress Liz, she rocked! And the food, oh my! Highlights include the She Crab soup, super fresh fish, a great wine selection, and the best escargot and key lime pie I've ever had. If one ever finds themselves in Crystal River Florida, Vintage on 5th is an absolute must!

A wonderful, intimate restaurant that had great service with a smile and absolutely delicious food. I was in a quandary and the enthusiastic waitress steered me to the scallops in this delicious mango, fruity sauce. It was soooo good. My husband had salmon, but it was prepared in this simple sauce that tasted out of this world; it was amazing. I kept on eating off his plate. My daughter had tuna, served rare to her liking. It included a tasty salad and side, like garlic mashed potatoes and risotto, both delicious. Entrees run you average $25, but with everything so wonderful, it was well worth it. The only negative, the bus boy kept calling my 23 year old daughter ma'am and she felt old. I can't wait until I go back to the area on my next trip.

As with the other reviews of this restaurant, I agree - best restaurant in town! My husband had the grouper and I had the shrimp and grits. Both were fabulous - started off with She Crab Soup, then didn't realize a salad came with the meal so we didn't have room for dessert, but we WILL be going back soon so I'll try it then! A must if you are in the area. Wine selection was the best too!

We found this civilized surprise through Yelp, as we were off the beaten path in Florida and hungry, coming straight from a fine day of kayaking the splendid wild Ichetucknee. The place was packed when we arrived without reservation, yet they quickly made us feel welcome. The fine food and its presentation were that of more expensive restaurants, yet the atmosphere was warm and made us feel as comfortable as if we had been there many times.

Great upscale restaurant. Not a huge menu but the portions are big and very tasty, but also pricey. Great for a dinner date or out with friends not so much a place for small children only bc I don't believe I've seen a children's menu and as I stated it's kinda pricey..

Very nice. We walked in and they were able to accommodate us w/o reservations. We had the red snapper and I have a dairy allergy and they were able to make the snapper dairy free for me. Really nice bread and very polite service.

Unique place with great atmosphere. Food was a bit over-priced. Ordered scallops and thought the portions were small for the price, but they were very fresh and cooked perfectly. We did not have reservations, which seemed to be the expectation. But, the staff was very accomodating and seated us on the veranda and service was great.

Vintage on 5th is perfect for a romantic night out. This is where we spend our anniversary this year, and they didn't disappoint. Their food is delicious, and the setting is quaint and beautiful. Service is great as well. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Great restaurant to have a great meal at a really reasonable price. The food is great from the appetizer to the Desserts even the salad is great. The places is pretty small and tight and usually packed so I would make reservations.

Lovely decor and ambiance. Knowledgeable wait staff. Contemporary menu especially for crystal river. While we don't drink they had thoughtful wine pairings on the menu. Fried green tomatoes were crisp and enhanced by bacon crumbles and goat cheese. Cedar key clams were amazing. Fresh, briny little bites of tender goodness. Salad was perfect - small serving of greens with perfectly ripe tomatoes, red onion and green olives. Mom had grouper which was a large serving lightly pan fried. I has rack of lamb which was medium rare as requested but was missing a good sear on the outside. Star of the show was the shrimp and grits which were phenomenal. The one off note was the key lime pie. Crust and consistency were good but it was missing the tartness one expects. Either too much sugar or not enough key lime. Overall an excellent meal and we will be back.

We had Michael as our waiter. His hospitality was by far the best I've seen in Florida. We've been on the road for the past 5 hours and stopped by here after seeing other yelp reviews. It was last minute and they still accommodated us. The food is outstanding. Did I mention the service was fantastic?

Good food and wine, and nice atmosphere, but without the pretension.

didn't come close to living up to the hype: highly recommended by our hotel, ordered one of their signature dishes (per our server), e.g., mac & cheese w/ chicken.

Thanks.

We were in Crystal River for the weekend and this was the BEST thing about it! We had an awesome meal, I had shrimp & clam linguini and my husband had the NY strip. Both meals were so yummy!!

No beer.

My S.O. and I had the pleasure of eating at the Vintage on 5th last weekend.

The sea food was great and fresh and the wine pairing on the menu was great but our salads where way over dressed. I would go back.

Best food in Crystal River. Had the Tuna. Cooked perfect, love the wasabi cream sauce. Bisque is awesome. We comeback as often as we can. BTW per a previous review, they have upgraded their wine selection. I am happy!
